Attempting to crawl

So somebody is trying to crawl. Its so much fun to watch her learn how to push herself up and figure out how to move. She can hold herself up really well now and is just trying to get the steps coordinated. 

This is the rock back and forth motion that she does for awhile before actually trying anything. 

Then she does a push forward kind of thing to get herself forward. Its pretty cute, then she looks like shes swimming on the floor. 

So tonight we were skyping with grandma and grandpa (alicia's parents) and I put the ipad in front of her and she just started army crawling right for it! So Adam was moving the ipad and she crawled all over the living room. Granted its not legit crawling buts its the first stages and more than she have ever done. I'm excited and so happy to see her growing and developing, now I just have to baby proof the apartment!

The lime incident

So Addison and I were out to dinner the other night for a work friend who was leaving. Robyn, a friend and co-worker of mine, loves Addie and I of course let her hold Addison during our dinner. Don't turn around when Robyn is holding your child or the next thing you know there is a lime in her mouth. 

 Needless to say, its not her favorite. It was about the funniest and cute thing I ever saw though. 

Walters Family Nauvoo Adventure

This year the Walters Family decided to take our big reunion trip to Nauvoo, Illinois. Both of Adam's sisters were able to come with their husbands and all of their kids, and of course Oma and Grandpa were there too.
I took over 600 pictures, We are making a book for all the familes with all the pictures but I will post my favorite here.

We started out on Monday morning getting ready for flight. We got the airport and ready to get on the shuttle bus.

The next day we got up and saw a show first thing in the morning. Addison liked all the music. Then Adam and I were able to do a Temple session, Nauvoo is beautiful! We hung out with some cousins and then went back into town and saw another show. The senior couple missionaries put this one on and it was a hoot. Lots of music and Addie loved it.

The next day we did a lot of tours and road in a carriage ride around the forest area in Nauvoo that was significant. It was a fun filled day with cousins

The last full day we were there we went to Hanibal, Missouri and went on a river boat ride and explored the Mark Twain caves. 

There are so many pictures I can post but our family is making a photo book so I dont have to upload them all here. Addison had a great time with our family and meeting cousins. I love our big family get togethers and these adventures we are all able to take our kids on. I can't wait until the next one!!
