Growing Up, Growing Fast

This is just some pictures from the last couple of weeks. She is growing up so much. She practices standing, she is eating more, smiling all the time, and overall just being pretty cool.

I swear we dont have stuff in her crib when she sleeps but she was hugging that blanket when she fell asleep. She now likes to sleep on her tummy and hug blankets when she gets sleepy. 

She loves her jumper, especially now that she can touch the floor in it.

So the other day it was crazy hot in our apartment. The AC wasnt working and she was cranky. Normally I would say lets go swimming but its a lot of steps and I didnt want do all of it. So we went swimming in the bath tub.

and finally our playdate with Kendra, her kitty Lucy wanted to play with Addison's ball and share the blanket. It was pretty cute 

Addison is just getting so big, moving around, rolling, just growing up. She is going to be crawling so soon!!

A little leftover vegas

 We had some leftover Vegas pictures that I never posted but definitely need to. Love anytime she gets to spend with her grandma. I love that Addison not only shares her name but she also looks so much like her.

This is the most amazing picture. Its the very last one I took of the entire trip and worth every minute of driving for it. I love my mom and my little girl more than anything. This is perfect.  

First attempts at rice cereal

 Yesterday we went to the pediatrician and got the all clear to start Addison on rice cereal. Now keep in mind this is very runny and I am barely mixing it in with her normal formula to help get her used to it. We are just trying to train her to use a spoon mainly and help stretch her feedings. I feel like she is hungry all the time!!

 

So this is attempt number one. We tried the bumbo, she just kept trying to learn or push out if it as you can see.

then NOOOO, she just couldn't handle it anymore.  

She looks like an old man with a beard. We think its a combination of being too hungry for this spoon nonsense and the bumbo, she has never really liked that thing and I don't think it helped.

 

So today I set up her high chair and we gave it a shot around dinner and in between her bottle feedings. This way she wouldn't be overly hungry and it wouldn't give her a stomach ache.  

 

As you can see, much more successful already

and then this face, this is her super excited face. Her lips tuck in her mouth and she grunts. Its the cutest thing ever!

 She did pretty well. She was getting the hang of letting us put the spoon in her mouth and then sucking on it.  

It was hard to get passed this tongue sometimes but she was getting more and more used to it as we kept going. I was almost in tears at one point, I know I'm a big baby, but just because she is growing up. I mean she can sit up on her own in her high chair and I eating with a spoon. Granted not very much but still the its all apart of growing up. Its still hard for me to leave her everyday and go to work, I feel like she is growing up without me sometimes. These past four months have flown by but yet I feel like she has been here forever. Addison is such an amazing little person!! and pretty darn cute, even with food all over her face, she gets that from her dad :)  

 

4 month check up

Addison had her 4 month check up and the doctor said she is great.  She is 12.9 pounds which is right down the middle for her age.  She is 25 inches long!  I'm pretty impressed. 
We were once again reminded how much we love our pediatrician. I had a bunch of questions about her starting solid food,  which will be the next post, and our upcoming travels, he is a Wonderful doctor. 
But Addison looked great and took her shots like a champ,  She only fused a little :) and they have cool painted ceiling rules too, I think it helped.

Wobbly Legs

We are working on Addison standing. She still can't do it of course, but its nice to see her try. She can stand for a couple of minutes but then turns into wiggle butt and wobbly legs. Its pretty cute to see especially in this little series of pictures
