Memorial Day Weekend

Today was a party for our friend Adam and Maranda's son Carson. He is turning 2 this week and they wanted to have a little splash party. I was very excited at the idea of finally getting Addison some water time that didnt involve a tub.
Look at her little bubbles, she is learning how to pose for photos.

We started the party at a local splash pad. I had her ready to go. I love this picture so much, she looks like a little diva

All while swimming or near the water her fists were firmly in her mouth.

Adam putting her feet in the fountain

Then when we got back to their house they had a pool set up for the kids. I'm not sure what I was thinking she would do, she can barely sit up by herself. I'm thinking she is just going to swim her heart out...not so much...and I put so much sun screen on her so she wouldnt burn that she was so slippery when I put her in the pool

But she didnt cry or fuss, she was a little nervous but did really well overall. I can't wait for the pool near our house this summer, we are going to make a little swimmer out of her soon enough

So much fun that when I changed her and she got comfortable in Adam's arms...nap time

Sound Asleep!

Such a great holiday with friends and Happy Birthday to little Carson. I feel like I was just visiting Maranda in the hospital to meet him. 2 years just flies by!!

New Tricks

Addison loves to try and shove both of her little fists in her mouth. Its pretty darn cute. She also loves blankets. I am thinking she is going to be that little girl that carries a blanket everywhere while she is little. If she is fussy she just takes that blanket in her fist and tries to eat it, drooling on everything.

We also have a found a new love of tummy time. She didnt like it when she is smaller but now she will hang on the floor for a while.

And she can finally sit up in her bumbo without falling. She doesnt do it very often but we are trying it out.

And this is the face she makes eating her blanket.

Addison Updates

Addison is very animated lately and I love getting cute pictures of the little faces she makes. She is starting to smile when she sees me either in the morning or when I pick her up from daycare. I get so worried that she doesnt know who I am but when she sees me and smiles I know its ok. But man she is just a cute kid, she is talking more and more, little babbles and coos. She still does great sleeping through the night. She isnt big on naps during the day so she sleeps like a rock at night. I try to get her to nap, don't think I'm keeping her up, she just doesnt like it. She will only sleep for about 30 minutes every couple of hours but nothing consistent. She is a wonderful and beautiful baby. I continue to be amazed by how much I love this little person who I have only known for the last 2 1/2 months. How could you not love this little girl?

Making faces

Adam was cuddling with her, she was attempting to nap on her back, big improvement.

Shes trying to talk, I'm telling you she is going to be saying words sooner than I think.

Happy Baby :)

My First Mother's Day

Today was wonderful for 2 reasons. Addison took a 2 our nap and I in turn took a 2 hour nap. I love that kid. It was a simple day, nothing extravagant but happy. Addison is a wonderful baby and is so much fun to play with and be around. Here are just some fun pictures of her throughout the week :)

This is how I find her most mornings before I leave for work. So cute

Playing this morning in her crib. Now that her reflux is under control she can actually lay on her back. She is learning how to hold toys and enjoys a rattle that my mom bought her, she is laughing at the noise

How cute is she, geez.

Happy Mother's Day!!

2 month doctor appointment

Yesterday was Addison's 2 month doctor appointment and she did great. We can't say enough how much we love our peditrician. He is an amazingly sweet and kind man. You can tell how much he loves children. She weighs 11 pounds, 9 oz! Such a big girl! She is 22 inches long now too. Everything looks great and we found out she has another birthmark on her lower back, and this one most likely wont go away. I thought for a long time it was a bruise but I figured after two weeks it might have just been a darker discoloration but since this one isnt bright red like her other ones, this one will most likely be permanent. She also go her shots :( She wasnt as bad as I expected but the rest of the night I can just tell she is a bit uncomfortable. She is such a wonderful little girl and we love her so much. Next appointment is in 2 more months :)

2 months!

I feel like I was just taking her one month pictures yesterday. We can't believe how much she changes on a daily basis. Everyday she learns something new or develops a new cute little face. She is still a wonderful baby, with her share of a bad day here and there but overall a sweet and lovable baby.

2 Month Milestones:

-sleeping through the night on regular basis (knock on wood!)
-smiles all the time when people talk to her
-favorite place is hanging out on her changing table
-still loves car rides
-kicks like crazy when she is playing
-learning how to grab things, loves throwing her pacifier
-still loves bathtime
-when she is super cranky, if she goes outside, it completely changes her mood
-her legs are so long that most of her pants end up looking like capris
-still the most beautiful baby we have ever seen

She does this spread arms and legs thing all the time. She looks like a starfish

She let me put a bow on her and she liked it. Her tongue...

Sleepy Time

I love taking pictures of her when she is asleep. She finds some interesting positions. Whats funny is Adam and I used to take pictures of people sleeping all the time. Ok that sounds creepy. I'll explain. In college I always noticed people falling asleep wherever and whenever they felt like it. Adam would tell me stories of the same thing but he felt it was way more rampant at BYU than when I was attending college in Vegas. I will say BYU was bigger and had better grounds keeping where one could sleep in a clean area of grass (a most likely not have their backpack stolen). So Adam and I used to see who could find the most peculiar or interesting position or place for people sleeping in public places. The best one in my opinion is when our friend Brandon got a picture of us sleeping.

This was way back in 2008

This is was like 2 weeks ago.

Bathtime cuteness

Today was the first day I looked at Addison and thought she looked like me. All this time everyone really says she mainly looks like Adam which I'm ok with, hes a cute kid :) But I have never really been able to see myself in her until today. I did manage to take some pictures right after bathtime, I swear when she is bundled up in a towel and naked, its so cute I cant handle it. And we both just love that this little girl loves bathtime. She's been fussy all day during her bath time tonight was the calmest she has been, and cute :)
